It is with great pleasure that we invite you to be a part of the Australian Association for Environmental Education (AAEE) 19th Biennial Conference 2016. Adelaide will be the host city for the Conference that will be held from October 5-7 2016 with a research symposium kicking things off on the 4th.

The theme of this year’s Conference is TomorrowMaking – Our present to the future. We are committed to creating a Conference that shares and showcases the best thinking and actions in our field. How do we build the resilience and optimism of the next generation so they will know that they can change the world around them? How can our work in Environmental Education and Education for Sustainability enable schools and their communities to change their values and behaviours?

Our work with young people is, by any measure, the most vital investment we can make for a truly sustainable future! So please join us as we dig deeper into what's working, what's valuable and how do we best share and understand the approaches that will seed more hopeful futures. The program will feature interactive talks, workshops and tours, as well as provide options for delegates to hear from some key practitioners in the field.

The 2016 Conference will be hosted at Adelaide High School on the edge of the city in the wonderful Adelaide Parklands. The city of Adelaide also has plenty to offer for those wishing to explore outside of the main Conference dates and I hope many of you will make the most of your time in the heart of South Australia. Post-conference tours will allow you to explore Adelaide’s renowned food and wine or travel to some of our iconic regions: Kangaroo Island, the Adelaide Hills or the Flinders Ranges.

This website will be updated regularly in the lead-up to the Conference to ensure the most current information is accessible. Be sure to complete the Expression of Interest form available also, if you wish to be added to our Conference mailing list and keep yourself in the loop!

We look forward to the months ahead and hope to see you in October in Adelaide!
